Snake {sneyk} - Noun

Any of numerous limbless, scaly, elongate reptiles of the suborder Serpentes, comprising venomous and nonvenmous species inhabiting tropical and temperate areas.

The definition of a snake comes across as evil, sneaky, an insidious enemy even, but that is far fetched when in discussion of Boston rapper, Jake the Snake - JtheS. The Boston rapper has been so far one of the most interesting yet intriguing #unknownceleb features I’ve interviewed thus far, the green-eyed rapper has quite the fascinating outlook on life, music and the world we live. Spending some of his childhood between New England and the West Indies {Montserrat and Nevis} he’s encountered quite the lifestyle from growing up in an erratic household to being introduced to all facets & genre’s of music - US/Caribbean; all of which have been credited as the formula to the many compositions of JtheS.

On January 18th, the official album release of {The Last Days} was delayed one day in efforts to give notice and attention to the Stop.Online.Piracy.Act {SOPA} which was to ensue the fight against online trafficking of copyrighted property and countefeit goods. Those who opposed, which were many of us, saw it as a torment to our free speech. Taking a moral stance against what has helped many musicians far and wide allowing the world to hear their projects, JtheS took part of the cyber protest and delayed the release. Nevertheless, the response to his featured album has been short of greatness, Boston has shown much love as well as outside the New England area - single {Razor} feat. Styles P is #1 on the nationwide college radio charts. About two weeks ago, The Middle East in Cambridge held the album release party for JtheS’ featured project {The Last Days}, an outstanding turnout from the fans with performances by other #BostonTalent i.e. Dutch Rebelle, DJ RealP and Brook of the Famous Nobodies; The Greater Good, Natural, American Antagonist and hosted by none other JAMN 94.5’s own DJ HustleSimmons.

Here’s a look at the 1 on 1 sit down I had with JtheS - get charmed by the Snake….

T.U.C.{TheUnknownCeleb} Tell me about your stage name, ‘Jake the Snake’? Those of us who are and/or were WWE/WWF fan immediatly think of the wrestler Jake “The Snake” Roberts, is there any signifigance?

JtheS: My first name is Jake, and it stems from a childhood name people would call me Jake “the snake”. It was from around the age of 19 that I used the name Jake the snake then when I moved to NYC I then started using the name JtheS. I actually like snakes, I think we are one in the same - snakes and I are misunderstood.

T.U.C.{TheUnknownCeleb} What’s the biggest misconception, if any, about Boston rappers/MC’s and the music scene?

JtheS: Its the way Boston is represented in movies, you hear about the things that happen in Charlestown, Southie and Blue Hill - they don’t know anything but they see on tv but what’s not represented when it comes to hiphop music in Boston. There’s alot of indie underground shit here in Boston, that’ve paved the way for artists like myself who in the indie scene - Boston is number 9 as one of the biggest markets in music so why can’t we be one of the major states like NYC, ATL, MIA, and/or LA?? There’s just alot of bickering and hating in Boston - its that crab in a barrel mentatlity. There is such a bigger sound here in Boston.

T.U.C.{TheUnknownCeleb} Do you think Boston has a ‘sound’? What is YOUR sound to Boston? What do you think is Boston’s soundtrack??

JtheS: Boston doesn’t have a sound that much cause its so close to New York - Rhode Island doesn’t have sound or Connecticut. DC has a sound cause of the Go-Go, Miami has it bass sound and Atlanta has that Crunk sound as well as Houston/Memphis and that part of the South has a different type of sound. We are so close to NYC we kind of sound the same, there are differences in a way that people approach a record and there’s a different in the culture. I don’t think its a distinct sound but its a different type of way musicians approach a record and what they talk about, the lifestyle and what they do can put more of an identity.

I don’t think I’m trying to create a Boston sound or trying to take a NYC sound, I’m just trying to create my own sound. I don’t try to create one for Boston - All east coast has a NY sound and that’s where the hiphop sound came from, all hiphop has a NY based sound - I mean that’s where it came from. It had to start from somewhere.

I can’t think of something like that..maybe more reggae infused hiphop or from rap. There’s so many different artist in Boston - cause Smoke Bulga sounds completly different from Slaine - Termanology is different from Sam Adams. I would just be making my sound unique regardless of where I’m from. I’m making what I like to make but I wouldn’t call it the ‘Sound of Boston’ cause there are somethings that music fans of Boston like and some they can’t vibe with, it depends on who’s listening. I make a wide variety of music.

T.U.C.{TheUnknownCeleb} You’ve worked with many big names celebrities in the rap game {Joell Ortiz, B.O.B., Nipsey Hussel, Styles P and Devin the Dude just to name a few} Tell me about your first celebrity collab and what you felt/how it felt to be recognized by those that you’ve dreamed to work with, those you’ve listened to with hopes to one day work with and now it finally coming to fruition??

JtheS: Devin the Dude was the first celebrity collab I did, and it was perfect cause I had an idea for a song and I played him a record he totally related to what I was looking for. He’s very cool person. You really want the people you listen to one day finally meet them to actually be they you perceive them on their record and it was great cause he was just as cool as I thought he would be, it worked out!

T.U.C.{TheUnknownCeleb} Musicians all have hopes and dreams to one day collaborate with their favority celeb - seems like you’ve done it already. What about on a local level? Is there an #unknownceleb in Boston or outside that you would love to do a record with that you haven’t worked with already??

JtheS: Mighty Mystic. I would love to do a record with him, I’ve almost done and worked with lots of Boston artists already and to be honest with you I don’t really have time to. Its not like that I’m better but I don’t keep up with everyone else cause I’m so focused on my own shit. I’m not making music to just throw it away. I also would love to do a record with Akrobatik - If someone wants to do a record with me, just say so.

T.U.C.{TheUnknownCeleb} What do you think about these rap beefs? {Common v. Drake & Nicki Minaj v. Lil Kim}

JtheS: Right now there’s been a big moment of the clash of the age groups - you have the new cats with no respect for the elders and the elders are hating on the young cats cause they’re jealous. And you have people wanting to keep things the way they use to be and they’ve got control and don’t want to change but there’s a whole new age group of fans. The wave of new age fans don’t even like what the old heads or can appreciate and they want the {young cats} new stuff cause it speaks to them more. It would be nice if the older cats were more embracing of the younger heads and then the younger fans would get into the older artists and their history about the music. Its just an age beef.

T.U.C.{TheUnknownCeleb} As far as hiphop/rap goes, we’re in the time of auto-tume, dance hiphop records the flow is different - its now the Jepordy style of rhyming. What decade of hiphop do you think we’re in?

JtheS: HipHop is just growing, things just go thru change. I mean rock-n-roll doesn’t sound the same as it did in the 60’s, there wasn’t dancehall in the 70’s. Its going through its transgression of change in music right now, I don’t even think about it too much - I used to ponder about way too much and its just the way it is. There’s alot of hiphop now that has similarities of 90’s hiphop, if you really like that sound you can get into. I don’t like to listen to 90’s hiphop unless its from the 90’s.

T.U.C.{TheUnknownCeleb} Top 90’s hiphop you listen to?

JtheS: What 90’s hiphop don’t I listen to..Nas, Wu-tang, Gangstar, Ice Cube, Snoop, Dre, Common.

T.U.C.{TheUnknownCeleb} How’s the response to {The Last Days} album? Bad Critics?

JtheS: The love has been more than before which is cool, it always grows with each project. Alot of people who wanted to front before can’t now, alot of non-hometown love has been great as well. Its good to hear them receive it they way you wanted it, there’s alot of street campaigning, shows and follow ups which is great.

There are some people who don’t like a certain song or someone who likes traditional hiphop may not like what’s on my album, like ‘Put My Cape On’ or ‘Simple Man’ but they respect the album.

Let the lyrical venom permeate thru your speakers and take hold of you to embrace THE LAST DAYS.

“The Snake will always bite back.” {Jake “The Snake” Roberts}

Album Release Party!
There was only one place to be last night where Boston’s most talented artists, producers, writers and photographers were there to show support & a lending ear to #BostonTalent, Dre Robinson {@DreRob}. Laced, one of Boston’s exlcusive sneaker store set the stage for an invite-only listening party for PollyMore Music Group rapper, Dre Robinson and the sampling debut of his newest project, Starvin’ 3.5 This Is Me. Its clear he went above and beyond with a production team from NellyProToolz to 17yr old, Sean Daly, who produced the track ‘My Pain, Your Pleasure’, a hard yet club-worthy, mix-show banger! Its too bad this project wasn’t released during the Summer, ‘cause this is definitely meant to be blasted out your ride with the windows down!! No worries, you’ll be able to get the full effect tonight with the OFFICIAL album release of Dre Robinson’s Starvin’ 3.5 This Is Me at Church {@ChurchBoston}!

J. Cole - Debut Album {Cole World}

I had the chance to take a listen to J. Cole’s debut album Cole World - there’s been much buzz about the RocNation’s newest member, from his mixtapes online to now his 1st album. I have to say not impressed - don’t get me wrong I respect the drive & hustle he’s gone through but its {Cole World} redundant - Respectfully! How many ‘Dollar and a Dream’ tracks are you gonna have?? Well add it up, now you have $3 dollars and an accomplishment. I’ve listened to his mixtapes and I just thought a mixtape was a prequel, a chance to showcase what your upcoming album is gonna be like - not have the same exact song(s). I suppose some mixtape tracks were album worthy but its repetitive. I’ve gotten mixed reactions to his album, some say ‘Its Epic’ - ‘Fire’ and others say ‘Its ok’ or ‘Eh’. On a positive note, yes there’s an upside, he does have a few decent tracks i.e. ‘Can’t get Enough’ feat. Trey Songz, ‘Mr. Nice Watch’ feat. Jay-Z and ‘Sideline Story’. Overall, congrats on the final release of your debut album - hopefully music won’t repeat itself next time around.

Respectfully Redundant,

The People’s Perception

#BostonTalent {Louie Bello - Singer/Songwriter} Filmed &...

#BostonTalent {Louie Bello - Singer/Songwriter} Filmed & Edited by: Steve O. of mindlessphotos.com

The Urban Nerdz: Who said Nerdz aren’t cool??

To cool for school or too school for cool, The Urban Nerdz are def in a class of their own. Group members Kay Special {Kenny Benjamin Dubuisson} & Aaron Campbell {Ace Boogie} have decided to take hip-hop into their own hands, with a musical curriculum that will teach those {hip-hop} is not all about “shooting up the streets, we {The Urban Nerdz} don’t sell dope, but we’re dope and we’re gonna sell.” –Kay Special

A group of collective talent with new school sounds but still reminiscent of meaningful, creative lyrics. The Urban Nerdz has made a stance in the Boston hip-hop music scene to being different but still keeping true to themselves. Ace Boogie {Aaron Campbell} coming from Silver Spring, MD where go-go beats are something of the norm and Kay Special {Kenny Benjamin Dubuisson} hails from Boston, MA bringing that northern sound and clever word play have created something of a “gumbo – a little bit of this-n-that just thrown into one big pot.” – Kay Special

Where most artists are following the template of what to wear, how to rhyme and catchy beats The Urban Nerdz strive hard to stay far away from the metaphorical “step outside the box” – this duo has gone beyond the box and dimension of music. Their mix tape ‘The Transfer Students’ clearly shows a variation of musical genres from cool jazz tones with the track ‘Trip’ to a harmonious, psychedelic escapade like ‘Triangle Love’. Creativity is something that comes natural to these fellas, each track will def keep your head bobbing and the lyrics will make you press replay..’In this triangular, tangular of a sea of heart beats & love sheets {Kay Special-Triangle Love}…’I lust one but lust the other more, one has a good head but the other gives more..’ {Ace Boogie-Triangle Love}

The passion, drive and originality this duo exudes is something worth keeping a watchful eye, with that said their current single ‘Don’t S.T.O.P {Submit To Obligated Pressure} & music video has portrayed why people in society are so easily swayed by the media, how easy it is for those to become sheep and not lead the herd. The submission of people is society and music has given the Nerdz a soap box to stand on and really voice their true feelings on the conformist views of the world from everyday life to what’s true & dear to their hearts – Hip Hop.

I spent some time with the group to talk about just that – Hip Hop, life and most importantly The Urban Nerdz… #FollowMe

Q: Who are ‘The Urban Nerdz’? How did you come to meet and form the group?

Ace Boogie: We are just a part of a gumbo, a lil bit of this and that just thrown into one big pot. We are all from different states, Kay{Special} from Boston and myself from Silver Spring, MD. Once graduating from high school, I came up here to attend Fisher College – I met our then 3rd member Jovan {Buffard Malory} at Fisher, we both had a great love for music, he created beats and it was basically a meeting of mutual friends that I connected with Kay{Special}. We then started a building a buzz and making connections with folks to really get the name out there.

Kay Special: People say that we {The Urban Nerdz} are different, but different from what?? I think a lot of people are used to hearing about gang banging music, we don’t shoot up the streets, we don’t sell dope but we’re dope and we’re gonna sell.

Q: Originally there were 3 members of The Urban Nerdz, what happened to the 3rd member?

Kay Special: He had a kid and moved back to Connecticut.

Q: Now with 2 members of The Urban Nerdz, how important is it to keep the group going and preserve the essence?

Ace Boogie: Communication is KEY in life, without communication there is no such thing as existence. With that said, the communication between The Urban Nerdz has always been interesting, and because of past situations we have learned that it’s a necessity to communicate with each other because things can go real bad with in a blink of an eye! With the positive energy and feedback that we have been getting from friends and fans it helps us to stay focus, grounded and to keep going! Music is our life and with the creative shit we’ve thought/thinking of, how dare we stop now!? C’mon Son!!

Kay Special: We just take what we can from the old and what we have with the present and make it the future for its what we’re about, making good, strong music. Although our sound may be different we are just adding a few more things to make it better. At the end of the day we are just trying to give people something they haven’t heard in a while, a group that trying to grown more and give Boston something fresh. We’re just doing us, we’re not here to be like anybody else, we are The Urban Nerdz and that’s it.

Q: In what way has this affected the fluidity of the group, if at all?

Kay Special: It just turned on the light bulb of being on your P’s and Q’s cause life happens. He {Buffard Malory} was part of our production and now we’ve had to outsource our production. We are not limited to a specific type of sounds which isn’t a bad thing but we all have our particular sound and like what we like, but it works because we’re open to different things. Now we have to stay grounded and mindful that life happens! Sometimes you have to restructure and rearrange things in our life to work with lifestyle of music.

Ace Boogie: Ahhh, how I say this…in house production..another creative mind…yea! But fluidity, naw, everything happens for a reason and God has tested us a COUPLE of times, lol, to make sure that we are prepared for the road ahead. It only makes us stronger!

Q: Hip Hop artist versus Rappers? Do you think there is a difference and how do you classify yourselves?

Kay Special: A Hip Hop artist has a craft and rapper just rhymes over beats. A real hip hop artist makes music that’s fun but all tells a story, metaphors. It’s just poetry in motion…music is my escape to what’s going on in life. Our foundation is hip hop but we like to branch out to different things, but we love what we do.

Ace Boogie: HELL YEA! True artists have no limits, meaning in creativity! Not saying that “rappers” aren’t creative but “rapping” is a form of art/creativity so by someone calling themselves a “rapper” they are essentially boxing themselves in and only point out one aspect of their creativity! THE URBAN NERDZ ARE HIP HOP ARTISTS!!

Q: If the 2 of you were Hip Hop chefs and could add and/or remove things from the “soup” so to speak; what would you change about Hip Hop?

Kay Special: Wouldn’t change anything about hip hop, but I would bring and open up the door of creativity to different artists. I feel the creativity had been lost in hip hop, people don’t take the time really create or surround themselves around creativity. It’s easy for people to go with the norm and just do what sounds good – too much pressure to keep things the same, there has to be meaning.

Ace Boogie: Hummmmm, I like this questions, I would add a nice strong spice of creativity (a good amount) lol, another splash of humbleness and remove some of the materialistic meat #pause

Q: With 2 Mix tapes on the table; numerous performance – opening for Wale in 2009 at Harper’s Ferry (Brighton Music Hall); appearance in Stuff Magazine & Boston Phoenix; and now your current single Don’t S.T.O.P – your music resume is pretty impressive. How do you feel about how far you’ve come?

Ace Boogie: The amount of success thus far is a true blessing, but we still got some work to do, with that said we stay grounded, focus and not get too comfortable.

Kay Special: I always feel like we can do more, buts it’s a blessing. I didn’t think we would be where we are now, people would come up to us and give so much love and praise about what we do and its nice. We create music that people can relate to; I think we have what it takes to be the next big things. We are a good example of believing in your dreams and making it happen. Its def a true blessing.

Q: Current single, ‘Don’t S.T.O.P. – tell me the meaning behind the track title and why?

Kay Special: Don’t S.T.O.P {Submit To Obligated Pressure} – don’t submit to conformity – greed, don’t give into greed. The obligated pressures portrayed in society like sex and drugs.

Ace Boogie: It’s a chapter of story about a lady named Jezebel, but her story speaks for the masses…without saying too much, the album will explain itself.

Q: When can we expect and album/mix tape release? Performance dates? What’s next for The Urban Nerdz?

Ace Boogie: We are currently in the kitchen cooking up some work! We are focused on finishing up the project so we are away from the live scene until then, but no worries we got ya’ll. Remember patience is a virtue, and the best work will come out of the time you put into it in!

Kay Special: No shows- maybe a show here and there but nothing major and crazy right now. It’s like we are starting fresh, we are taking the old and revamping to the future. Don’t give up on us; just know it will be worth the wait, fans won’t be disappointed.

There you have it folks, The Urban Nerdz working hard and kicking down the doors of imitation – you have to respect the progression and the artistry these fellas put into their music.

Bondij By Blond Di has delivered a new, trendy & eye-catching way of evoking unconventional style and pairing it with the simplistic idea of the everyday jacket and/or blazer. From studs, to pearls, to chains – Bondij By Blond Di captures & creates raw, unique style to capture any essence of one’s fashionable swag. Within the last year Blond Di has teamed up with local Boston boutique, Heiress, the first to house the designer’s collection, Bondij Royalty – a collection exclusively created for Heiress. I had the chance to sit down with designer Blond Di to talk Bondij. We also teamed up with Mindless Photos for a sneak preview of the new Spring 2011 line – check it out!

Q: Where did the name ‘Bondij’ originate as well as your alias, Blond Di?

When I started creating these pieces, it was just for fun and friends. I would get lots of people asking me where I got them & where they can find them. It didn’t really start catching on until a year into me designing pieces and from there I realized I needed to create a name for my designs that represented the style as well as defining me as the designer. I was at work one day online exploring different names, seeing what was out there, and I really liked the sound of ‘bondage’ but decided to change the spelling into ‘Bondij’ and the simplicity of my ‘blond’ highlights as well as my nickname ‘Di’ is where the creation of ‘Bondij By Blond Di’ came.

Q: With the growing popularity of your jackets in Boston and now making it out on the national circuit, where would you like the success of ‘Bondij’ to go?

I would love to do show room of designed jackets; I would love to have my showroom be very personable where people could come in and look at what they would like and possibly could wear. I’ve gotten lots of responses from my promo video as well as my tumblr page {www.bondijbyblonddi.tumblr.com} that has really helped me with getting the brand out there.

Q: Tell me about your connection with Heiress Boutique?

A good friend of mine put me onto the new boutique, Heiress, which carries very reconstructed one of a kind pieces and I felt that my collection would really fit. I’ve also been in talks with another store in Allston who is interested in carrying my collection.

Q: How do your designs differentiate from other designers out there who’ve also created custom designed jackets? I.e. Vendetta

A lot of my jackets I find at vintage stores such as GoodWill and my ideas come from my love costume jewelry, flowers, and lace. I do a lot of cut & paste of different things I see to create my ‘Bondij’ pieces one of a kind. I’ve recently started thinking about creating a men’s line this year.

Q: What can we expect from your Spring line?

I’ve just started doing customized vest(s) and now looking into shorts; exploring more color schemes. I’m excited to bring out more colors and really jump into more pieces, like dresses.

Bondij By Blond Di, a creative, funky and vintage style transcending the fashion world one day at a time. ‘Bondij By Blond Di keeps you chained to the pulse of fashion.’

You can get with this or you can get

that, ‘cause Dutch Rebelle is where it’s at - the Boston femcee has only been out in the public eye for a year now and is already making it known that this ‘rebel’ has a cause!

Growing up in the suburbs of Milton, MA, Dutch Rebelle (Vanda Bernadeau) began her creative journey writing poetry at a young age, with English not being her first language - an export from Haiti - she recalls reciting lines to her mother who would take notes of her daughter’s versatile vernacular. At the tender age of 9yrs. old did Dutch Rebelle really turn her love for poetry into hip-hop rhymes. “I really got into hip-hop from my older brother, Mark, who would point to different things and have me come up with rhymes. I kept notebooks that would have nothing but rhymes - rhymes in the margins of my homework and class work. Poetry is rap and vice versa.”

Dutch Rebelle, a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, class of 2009 - that’s right not just a pretty face - she put writing rhymes on the backburner for a little while to focus on her education as a Journalism major. After graduation is when she brushed the dust off and did a freestyle {Black Mags} that got around to a few friends, “I really didn’t think much of it until a friend of mine told me that I should actually think about doing this for real. And from there I started booking my own shows.” Making her presence known, she has graced the stages from UMASS Amherst, Suffolk University and the famous House of Blues, performing as opening acts for some of hip-hop’s heavy hitters such as Papoose, Capone-n-Noreaga as well as the legendary Slick Rick.

On her quest to becoming one of Boston’s hottest femcees with a lyrical word-play that’ll have you tongued-tied, she also knew she was in need of some help with managing all of what was to come. Soon introduced to Boston female Deejay Shasha Dubuoisson through a family friend, her and Dutch hit it off and from there formed a team called, ‘Black Roses’, made up of make-up artists, hair stylists, wardrobe as well as other musicians. “I linked with Deejay Shasha, did some networking and after 3 months of us getting together I recorded with ‘Famous Nobodies’ and she is a big help in the revamp of making Black Roses bigger.” The Famous Nobodies, also a Boston hip-hop group on the rise, Dutch Rebelle has made her way to being the only femcee of the bunch. With a couple guest appearances on their recent mix tape, ‘Pro Tools and Bullshit’, she’s making it known she can hold her own. “I first heard ‘Famous Nobodies’ at a performance in Revere at Sammie’s Patio, and I remember hearing them, enjoying their performance and wanted to collab with the group. I was then introduced to ‘Real P’, a member of Famous Nobodies, we talked and it just worked out - we really worked out.”

In early 2010 she released a mini-mix tape called ‘The Appe-teaser’, a brief introduction to her artistry as well as culture, as a Haitian-American. Dutch make’s it very known to represent her culture despite the tragedy, and is proud of her heritage. The song ‘Leve, Kampe’{Get up/Stand up} is a passionate mid-tempo story about the natural disaster to hit Haiti. “Being Haitian is apart of who I am, there are those who use it as a gimmick, but get to know me, its apart of me, its who I am. You need to know who I am and where I’m coming from, my struggle. It’s my story.” Along with other snippets, ‘RockWild’n’ and ‘Like Whoa Freestyle’ Dutch Rebelle leaves you excited for the main course. The debut of her solo mix tape, ‘Beauty v. Beast’, eighteen tracks of catchy punch lines and witty metaphors, from hip-hop ballads like ‘Clouds’ expressing a woman’s love, to what should be Boston’s anthem, bass thumping ‘Beantown Shit’. From her rhyme scheme you would think she’s been around for quite sometime, although she’s new to scene she’s making herself known to the [MASS]es as a solo artist - Dutch Rebelle. “Although I’m young, I still appreciate hip-hop and what rap represents. I feel you have to be comfortable with all types of rap as well as female

rappers, which I think people are still not comfortable with, but I’m ready to change that.”

With great femcees through out hip-hop such as, MC Lyte, Yo-Yo, and Lady of Rage just to name a few who’ve made it known that this isn’t just a man’s game, women can flow just as rough and hard, Dutch Rebelle let’s us know how “sick” she really is, with her first single and music video ‘I’m Ill’ {Rebelle Mix}…”what? Ummm excuse hoochie…I’m not them snake niggaz crawlin outcha coochie…I’m ill!” This rose has thorns and isn’t afraid to draw blood, but there’s a happy medium to Dutch Rebelle in comparison to Vanda Bernadeau, “I’m a Gemini, so Dutch Rebelle is my other half - we live in conflict but we work at the same time. It’s the beauty versus the beast, we see it both ways, and Dutch is a non-conformist. I do what I want/don’t copy me.

Vanda needs Dutch just as much as Dutch needs Vanda, when I’m not onstage performing as Dutch I’m still performing offstage as Vanda and I have to watch myself. Dutch is all business and Vanda is a free spirit, she {Dutch} has to be tougher ‘cause of the industry, there are more important things than just partying - I rather grind.” Grind is an understatement to what this femcee has already accomplished in the short time she’s been on the scene, with her return from SXSW {South by Southwest}, a week long music festival in Austin, Texas showcasing unsigned talent also those well-known, she’s already landed some great opportunities soon to be performing alongside the famous DJ Coco Channel in Rhode Island April 9th, to the opening act for Wale in Worcester April 16th, T-Pain and in May flying out to L.A. for the VH1 Female Hip-Hop honors!! “I’m excited, it’s been a process and there were some tough times that I’ve endured but it’s worth it. If you’re gonna do it - do it big! I really appreciate all the love!” Dutch Rebelle is quickly gaining popularity and fame, a lady but will give you a lyrical tongue-lashing, she’s the beauty and the beast all wrapped in one. Dutch Rebelle, going beyond the limits of possible!
